Christmas Events
Many thanks to Becky, Doreen and Keith for decorating the Twinners' Christmas Tree in the parish church. this year. The theme was 'baubles' depicting The Twelve Days of Christmas' - in English and French - together with sparkley red, silver and blue embelishments!

The annual Christmas Dinner was attended by 29 members at Cafe Scrumptious for the first time. As usual this was a noisy and lively affair with good food, good company and a jolly Christmas event to end the year's activities!

A Happy New Year and prosperous 2018 to all!

Charter document in English
The Twinning Charter between Mary Tavy and Méry-Corbon, in Normandy, was signed on 24th April 1982. After some 30 years we are still a very active association holding biannual visits with our French friends - we visit France one year, our French friends come here the next year.

We have a busy calendar of social and fund-raising events throughout the year.

These events normally include a Skittles Evening, Scrabble Competition, Quiz Night, Safari Supper, organised walks and other informal gatherings including Christmas Drinks. The fund raising ensures that we can provide our guests with a memorable time when they visit us. We always welcome new members. Annual membership is £16 for families/couples and £8 for individuals.

Our Honorary President is Barbara Anning who was one of the founder members of the Twinning Assocation. Maurice, her husband, was one of the signatories of the Charter
document. The Mary Tavy Twinning Association is affiliated to the Devon Twinning Circle.

On 1st January 2017, Méry-Corbon and Bissières merged to create the new commune of Méry-Bissières-en-Auge. Click on this Méry-Bissières-en-Auge link to find out more about our French friends and their commune.
